Associate Pastor for Students
Dr. Ginny Dempsey, a native Athenian, joined the Milledge Avenue staff as Associate Pastor for Students in May of 2014. Ginny earned a Bachelor of Arts from Shorter College, a Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology, a Masters of Teaching from Piedmont College, and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. Read More
Minister of Music
Tom Eggleston was born in Port Sulphur, Louisiana. He received his high school diploma at Prytania Private High School in New Orleans, LA; his Bachelor of Music Education degree from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS; and a Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Read More
Minister for Older Adults
Nathan's family have been members of MABC since they moved to Athens in 2000. He is married to Karen, a middle school Social Studies teacher in nearby Walton County. Karen has served MABC as our organist. They have three children. Nat is a graduate student in Physics at Virginia Tech. Nick, one of our Music Scholars, is a Music Business major at UGA. Nursery Coordinator
Sarah Pledger has been nursery coordinator at MABC for 11 years and currently in her 14th year of teaching, 12 which have been in Hall County teaching elementary students. She holds a specialist degree in education with endorsements in math, ESOL, and currently working on gifted endorsement. Read More
Jan Ballard

Ministry Associate

Jan began managing the office for Milledge Avenue in July 2020, but she has been a member of the Milledge Avenue for about five years. Jan is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a retired librarian and archivist.  

Financial Secretary
Susan started in April 2012. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from UGA and is currently working on her Masters of Public Administration from Valdosta State University. Read More
