Community / Authenticity / Excellence

Music Ministry groups provide great opportunities for community and fellowship! We work hard because we’ve got a lot to do in a short amont of time, but also we have fun and enjoy each other as we work toward a common goal.

Excellence and authenticity are our watch words. We work toward excellence and authenticity in everything we do from selecting music and planning worship to rehearsing and presenting choral anthems.

Welcome!

We extend an invitation to church members and non-church members alike to come be a part of the community of excellence, and authenticity found in the Music Ministry. To become a part of a Music Ministry group, talk with Minister of Music, Carey Huddlestun, or just show up at a scheduled rehearsal!

Music Ministry Organizations

Sanctuary Choir - high school age and older. The Sanctuary Choir leads in Morning Worship each Sunday morning and in seasonal worship services throughout the year. This group leads in Morning Worship year round, while their Wednesday night 7:15PM to 8:30PM rehearsal season runs from mid-August through May.

Children’s Choir – Kindergarten through 5th Grades. Bea Grant, an experienced, professional music educator and church musician directs the Children’s Choir. Lucy Bell, a very able volunteer, assists Bea. The Children’s Choir season mirrors area’s school calendars running from mid-August to mid-May.

Pre-Service Musicians – Before each Sunday Morning Worship we are graciously blessed with ‘Pre-Service Music.’ These pianists capably use their talents by playing several minutes before the beginning of Sunday Morning Worship. Bea Grant coordinates these musicians.
