Since 1993 AWAB has been supporting churches in being and becoming Welcoming and Affirming of all people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. We work as individuals, congregations, regional groupings and as a national body to advance the Radical Welcome and Love of God in Jesus Christ through being the Ministry of Reconciliation and building up the Beloved Community where all will be one.

Baptist Women in Ministry of Georgia
We strive to be a place that recognizes and promotes the ministry of all women. We want to help you connect to women in ministry and learn about the work Baptist women are doing in Georgia. Whether you are ordained clergy, serve as a Sunday school volunteer, direct the youth choir, visit the homebound, or serve in any other capacity for the Gospel, we invite you to participate and connect with our group. Athens Recovery Warriors
Recovery warriors serve those who have been impacted by the opioid crisis epidemic, including mental health, and substance misuse challenges. We believe in the inclusivity of our community and those we serve (Veterans, dually diagnosed, lgbqt+, recovery) We believe that everyone has the right to recovery and aim to reduce stigma and empower individuals through whole health and wellness which includes fitness and art!
Recovery Warriors serves the Athens-Clark County and surrounding areas including, Madison, Oglethorpe, Oconee, Walton, Barrow, and Jackson counties.
