Family Promise Host Week
Our next Family Promise Host Week is July 5-11. There are two families in shelter, both with a mother and three children. A very generous member has already sponsored the gift cards. We need to provide meals for three nights. The sign up link is below.
Children’s Lunch and Movie
We will see the movie Goat, click here for the trailer. After, we will go to Groove Burger for lunch. Cost is $10. Drop off is at University 16 at 9:30 am and parent pick up is at 1:30 pm at Groove Burger. See you soon!
PRISM youth gathering
Sunday, July 12 the youth will gather with the other PRISM Youth Group churches for a popsicles and park day. We will go to Sandy Creek Park and hand out popsicles and enjoy a fun time together. More details to follow as Ginny receives them!

Family Retreat
The Family Retreat is about a month away! YAY! Please pay your account balance by July 12. The total cost per person is $100, but a $50 deposit has already been paid. The family cap is $500. What a fun time we will have!

Blessing of the Backpacks and Churchwide Lunch
Students are teachers are encouraged to bring backpacks/briefcases to church for a special blessing during the worship service. After worship plan to stay for lunch. Fried Chicken and drinks are provided, so please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Youth Pool Party

Meet us at 9:30 am at University 16 Movie Theater at Epps Crossing for a Summer Children's Movie and Lunch with Sarah. The movie is Dog Man and the $10 cost includes the movie ticket, movie snacks and drink, and lunch at Groove Burger. Parent pick up is at 1:30 pm at Groove Burger. Abrahamic Alliance Fellowship
After 9/11 three local faith communities - Al Huda Islamic Center of
Athens, Congregation Children of Israel, and Milledge Avenue Baptist
Church - joined together to build relationships and learn about each
other's faith and culture. Soon after the group began working with
Habitat for Humanity to build houses. Recently leaders in the three
faith communities sought to revive the partnership and add another
group to the mix: the Bahai Fellowship of Athens.

What If Jesus Was Serious?
The women of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church are warmly invited to join our small group, Fabulous Faithful Friends, as we begin a new book study, What If Jesus Was Serious, by Skye Jepthani. This engaging and thought-provoking study will help us explore the teachings of Jesus in fresh and meaningful ways while growing in faith and friendship together. Whether you’ve been part of the group before or are joining for the first time, we would love to welcome you. Come be encouraged, inspired, and connected as we learn and grow together!
