Family Promise Host Week
Daisha and her four very active young boys (2, 6, 8, and 10 years old) are now living in a Family Promise shelter unit. This family needs so many things as the children get settled in school and daycare. Please let Wanda Culpepper know if you have specific donations to offer. We think Walmart gift cards might be better than Kroger cards for our current family. The mom can then use them for needed supplies other than food. We always give a $25 gift card for each family member to be used for personal needs and extra food during our host week. We would like to have a few more gift cards for this family. You can bring these gift cards to the church office at any time before our host week.
We will also need to provide a meal for the family on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (September 14, 15 and 16) of our host week. There are no food allergies, and they will be easy to please. Here is the link to sign up.
Milledge Adults Slice & Dice

Young Adult Small Group
The first gathering will be lunch after worship on September 20 at Grindhouse Burgers. Those in attendance will decide a regular meeting time and topic. If you’d like to participate but can’t make this date, email Susannah.

Pumpkin Patch set up
We still need a Pumpkin Patch Coordinator this year. The coordinator must have a lot of free time in October, especially on weekends and in the evenings. If you are interested in this position, or you know someone who would be a good fit, please contact Ginny for more details.

The College Small Group is led by Libby Grace Garrett. The next meeting is August 23 at 12:30pm at MABC. The topic is “Christianity beyond America“ and involves discussions around how Faith can be practiced outside of mainstream American evangelicalism. Reach out to Libby Grace with questions.

Anyone of any age is invited to stay after worship for a light lunch and a conversation about Baptism. We will discuss the reasons for Baptism, what it means, and why we practice it. Blessing of the Backpacks and Churchwide Lunch
Students are teachers are encouraged to bring backpacks/briefcases to church for a special blessing during the worship service. After worship plan to stay for lunch. Fried Chicken and drinks are provided, so please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Family Retreat
The Family Retreat is about a month away! YAY! Please pay your account balance by July 12. The total cost per person is $100, but a $50 deposit has already been paid. The family cap is $500. What a fun time we will have!

PRISM youth gathering
Sunday, July 12 the youth will gather with the other PRISM Youth Group churches for a popsicles and park day. We will go to Sandy Creek Park and hand out popsicles and enjoy a fun time together. More details to follow as Ginny receives them!
Children’s Lunch and Movie
We will see the movie Goat, click here for the trailer. After, we will go to Groove Burger for lunch. Cost is $10. Drop off is at University 16 at 9:30 am and parent pick up is at 1:30 pm at Groove Burger. See you soon!
Family Promise Host Week
Our next Family Promise Host Week is July 5-11. There are two families in shelter, both with a mother and three children. A very generous member has already sponsored the gift cards. We need to provide meals for three nights. The sign up link is below.
Youth Pool Party
The youth pool party will be 2:00-4:00pm on June 28. Siblings and parents are welcome! There is also a covered pavilion with shade, restrooms, and a water fountain. Bring your own towel and sunscreen! RSVP to Leia for the address: Leiaberry@yahoo.com.
Children's Movie and Lunch
Meet us at 9:30 am at University 16 Movie Theater at Epps Crossing for a Summer Children's Movie and Lunch with Sarah. The movie is Dog Man and the $10 cost includes the movie ticket, movie snacks and drink, and lunch at Groove Burger. Parent pick up is at 1:30 pm at Groove Burger.
