Set up for Kids' Camp
We need a few people to stay after worship on Sunday to help us set up for Kids’ Camp.
Kids Camp
Who: Children currently in Kindergarten through 5th grades
What: Kids Camp from 9:00am-3:00 pm
When: Tuesday-Friday, May 26-29
Where: Milledge Avenue Baptist Church, 1690 S Milledge Avenue, Athens, GA 30605
Why: To Have Fun, Make Friends, and Learn about God's Love!
How: Register ( click here! ) and pay the $100 fee (only $50 if paid before April 15! Type EARLY in the promo code box)
Early care is available from 8-9 for $10 for the week
Late care is available from 3-5 for $20 for the week
Once you register an email will be sent closer to time with more details.
Please don't let money be the reason your child doesn't attend camp. We will do our best to work with you.
Our theme this year is Snowball Mountain Challenge where we will find our strength in God!

Abrahamic Alliance Fellowship
After 9/11 three local faith communities - Al Huda Islamic Center of
Athens, Congregation Children of Israel, and Milledge Avenue Baptist
Church - joined together to build relationships and learn about each
other's faith and culture. Soon after the group began working with
Habitat for Humanity to build houses. Recently leaders in the three
faith communities sought to revive the partnership and add another
group to the mix: the Bahai Fellowship of Athens.

What If Jesus Was Serious?
The women of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church are warmly invited to join our small group, Fabulous Faithful Friends, as we begin a new book study, What If Jesus Was Serious, by Skye Jepthani. This engaging and thought-provoking study will help us explore the teachings of Jesus in fresh and meaningful ways while growing in faith and friendship together. We will join Princeton United Methodist Church and Friendship Presbyterian Church for an Easter Sunrise service at 7am in the Princeton UMC church cemetery.
Maundy Thursday Service
We will be joining with Friendship Presbyterian Church and Princeton United Methodist Church for an experiential dinner.

Experience Lent through the lens of Jesus's most powerful mealtime parables
This Lenten season, gather at the table with Jesus and his disciples to experience the journey from Palm Sunday to the cross through the stories that prepared the way. Travel with Jesus on the road to Jerusalem in this six-week Lenten study that explores the parables and stories Jesus told at tables along the way to his final meal.
There are 2 different opportunities to participate in this study
* Mondays at 7:00 pm led by Nathan Byrd
* Wednesdays at 12:00 pm led by Ginny Dempsey
Each study will involve food/snacks, a short teaching video, and then discussion.

Children's Easter Egg Hunt
Our children's ministry Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, March 28th from 3-5 pm. There will be games, crafts, snacks, and, of course, an Easter egg hunt with prizes.
New this year We will be holding a raffle that day and first prize is a FREE week of camp!
2nd prize is $25 for the week and 3rd prize is $35 for the week. Tickets are $1 or 6 tickets for $5.

Guns to Gardens
The Table UGA is hosting a “Guns to Gardens” event where community members can anonymously donate unwanted guns to be turned into garden tools and art! This will take place on Saturday, March 28th from 12-3pm. As a thank you for donations, we will be giving out gas and grocery gift cards to donors while supplies last. Family Promise Host Week
March 22-28 is our week to host the two families living in shelter at Family Promise of Athens.
We still need additional $25 Kroger or Walmart gift cards which help families purchase food and personal hygiene items. Donated gift cards can be dropped off at the church office, placed in the donation boxes right outside of the sanctuary or mailed to MABC, P.O. Box 885 Athens, GA 30601.
Our shelter families often have other specific needs. To find out more about how you can meet these needs, please contact Wanda Culpepper.
Youth Progressive Dinner
We will join with Friendship Presbyterian Church, Oconee Street Methodist Church, and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens for a Progressive Dinner. More details to come but youth should plan to stay that Sunday until late afternoon.
